A.D. Clark Pool to Open Saturday, May 29

The A.D. Clark outdoor swimming pool, located at the Hargraves Community Center at 216 North Roberson St. in Chapel Hill, is scheduled to open on Saturday, May 29, and operate through Labor Day weekend. Reservations are needed to swim before coming to the facility.

The 25-meter pool offers a zero-depth entry, locker rooms, showers and a family changing area. There is a wading pool for preschoolers and toddlers. Swim diapers required.

The pool will be open from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 29, and Monday, May 31; and open noon to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 28. Weekday hours the week of June 1-13 are 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Reservation rules are as follows:

• Each person is per allowed three reservations per week, across all pools.
• Reservations cannot be made more than seven days in advance.
• You must arrive within 15 minutes of the time you registered for; your time slot could go to someone else if you arrive later.
• Reservations start when you enter the facility; you are asked to leave the facility by the end of your reservation time.

Swimming is free at A.D. Clark, but indoor pools have fees.
