By Jock Lauterer

Gentle Reader:

As the calendar turns to the dog days of summer, our thoughts turn to ice cream, which leads us to Maple View Farm.

On an outing with a gaggle of grandkids, my wife, Lynne, spotted this sign of the times, which tickles my funny bone. Just because we’re going through a bad patch, doesn’t mean we have to lose our sense of humor. In fact, some would argue we’ve never needed humor more.

Down with gravity, I say, and up with levity. Time for another photo-haiku.
