Chapel Hil Police investigate murder-suicide on Homestead Road

On June 4th, at 2:20 p.m., the Chapel Hill Police Department responded to a shooting report at 2701 Homestead Road. Inside a residence, officers discovered a man and a woman deceased with apparent gunshot wounds.

The deceased have been identified as Hanho Choi, 70, Hyejin Choi, 31.  Hanho Choi was the father of Hyejim Choi.  They lived together at the 2701 Homestead Road residence.  This is an apparent murder-suicide, and we believe Hanho Choi was responsible. The investigation is ongoing and no additional information is available.

There’s no threat to the community. No additional information is available at this time.
