Chapel Hill Fire Department determines Mediterranean Deli fire accidental

The Chapel Hill Fire Department’s investigation is complete for the July 22 fire in the 400 block of West Franklin St, according to a statement from Alex Carrasquillo of Chapel Hill Police and Fire Department at noon on Thursday.

Fire investigation officials have determined that the fire originated on the roof of The Mediterranean Deli due to work being done at the time. The cause of the fire was accidental.

The incident reports for Mediterranean Deli, DE Sutton and Moshi Moshi have also been released.
