CHAPEL HILL – At around 2:25 a.m. on Saturday, the Chapel Hill Police Department responded to a report of a carjacking at 1505 E. Franklin Street.
Investigators determined that three men stole a vehicle from two people at gunpoint. There were no reports of injuries. About two hours later, the stolen vehicle was located and recovered in Durham.
Investigators are working to identify and find the suspects, and they are looking into any possible connections between this incident and an armed robbery Thursday night.
