Shooting in Carrboro no injuries reported

The Carrboro Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred near the intersection of NC 54 and W. Main Street at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023. Two individuals got into an argument. The suspect produced a firearm, fired multiple shots, and fled the area on foot. The suspect is described as a black male wearing dark-colored clothing.

No one was injured in the shooting. This appears to be an isolated incident, and the police do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public. The police department is actively investigating and asking the public to share any information on the incident.
