The Junior League of Durham and Orange Counties(JLDOC) announces its Shop | Save | Support fundraiser drive for 2024. This project serves to attract customers to local businesses and donates 100 percent of the money raised back into the community.

According to the Junior League, participating businesses offer discounts to customers who have purchased a Shop | Save |Support card from the League. More than 45 businesses (and growing) across Durham, Chapel Hill, Hillsborough, and Orange County are participating. Businesses range from restaurants and clothing to home & garden, and even entertainment.

The list of participating vendors includes My Muses Card Shop, Nailed It, and The Wine Feed. It is still being compiled and could include up to 50 participants.

100 percent of the net proceeds go towards the Junior Leagues’ mission of funding leadership training and development opportunities for women and allowing the JLDOC to provide continued volunteer support for other local non-profit organizations in Durham and Orange Counties.

The fundraiser is a three-week shopping period from April 12th through May 5th.

JLDOC is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively education and charitable.

The Open Eye Cafe in Carrboro is supporting the JLDOC by donating a percent of the day’s proceeds from all sales on Wednesday, April 24th.

Shopping Period:

April 12 – May 5th in Durham and Orange counties, with vendors participating from Durham, Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and online! They have one in Burlington (Persnickety Books) and JuiceKeys (which has a couple of shops in Raleigh, also outside of their Durham shop that will be participating).

Cardholders can buy their cards online at jldocshopsavesupport.org and have them mailed to them or pick them up at participating merchants. Cards cost $35 and provide tons of savings (for example, 25% off at Killer Queen in Durham, 20% off at My Muses Card shop, or 15% off at WomanCraft).
