Letter to the Editor by Soyeon Nam

As early voting starts soon, I’d like to share why I support Renuka Soll for the Town Council.

Renuka and I have been friends ever since she moved in next-door 14 years ago. As two big advocates for our children’s education, we started helping in our kids’ classrooms first as room parents and then as more involved individuals on the PTA board. But even after her children are off to college, Renuka has continued to branch out to the community because she cares deeply about helping the citizens of this town.

The best word I can think of to describe Renuka is a “doer.” She consistently puts forth her full effort in everything she does, as you witnessed in her successfully executed gun-buy-back program. Renuka is one of those rare public servants who follows her sense of loyalty and commitment to a choice she truly believes.

Having Renuka as our town council member means that we can rely on her honesty and communication to update us on the town. Not only is she conscientious, considering the needs of others, but she is also equipped with integrity and the relentless pursuit of excellence in everything she does. Renuka will carefully listen to people and come up with the best solutions. Her mind and her heart are in the right place.

I hope this letter both informs you on Renuka and inspires you to go out and vote for her!
